I was attempting to book for dates in April when the Booking.com website defaulted to the current day at the moment of booking meaning I had booked a two night stay for that very night and the next night. The policy of the hotel did not allow me to cancel the booking as it was less than 24 hours notice (the same day). I immediately called the hotel to explain the booking error. The reception staff could not have been less helpful. The first girl I spoke to could not have cared less and had no shred of compassion of empathy. I explained it was an error, that I was calling within minutes of the booking having been made. They did not allow me to swap the booking to April. She refused to refund me. I asked to speak to her manager, she spoke to someone out of ear shot and then hung up on me. I immediately called back and another woman answered. I asked 'did you just tell your colleague to hang up on me' to which she replied 'yes'. She refused to refund me anything. I asked her to cancel my booking for the second night, as this was more than 24 hours away. She said 'yes, this will be possible'. I requested that she e-mail me to confirm that the refund would be processed, which she agreed to. No email confirmation came. The whole amount for a two night stay was deducted from my balance. Booking.com customer service were next to useless and were unable to contact the hotel. Every message I have sent the hotel goes unanswered. Completely unprofessional customer service, I emplore everyone to take their business elsewhere as based on my experience the management staff have absolutely zero professionalism and not a shred of humanity or empathy.

Was very comfortable ,10 minute walk to town centre, would stay again.

The tooms are newly renovated, abd that gives the hotel a nicer vibe than it would have otherwise, but the shower issue and the heat all night made it a very bad stay.

Good but the shower floor is too dangerous.
